Wanted: Software engineer to code advanced math application in C#
 
We seek a software engineer/scientist to join our team on a contract position to develop a key functionality for our data mining product. The successful candidate must have a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, computer engineering or otherwise have a career profile that demonstrates experience in coding advanced mathematical applications in C, C#.
Candidates with MS or PhDs will receive preference, but we will give due consideration to seniors in a suitable degree program who demonstrate the motivation and possess the needed skills set. Work will comprise coding a data mining algorithm in C#. Some self-guided research on the most recent enhancements on the algorithm will be expected. It would be good if the candidate has access to a university library with current journals on pattern analysis, data processing and ACM proceedings. Our non-client facing team works on their own schedule and on-site presence is not necessary. CV's and a cover letter should be sent to mailto:info@claimsgator.com . Practical skills that we are looking for include:
· .NET / C#/C++ programming experience.
· The algorithm is straightforward to implement, but it has significant memory usage requirements
· Extensive experience programming in the windows/XP environment.
· Experience with data mining algorithms. · Familiarity with data visualization techniques and technologies is a plus.
· Familiarity with source code management tools, such as Subversion, is a plus.
· Candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to think creatively and operate independently.
