Zhengquan He

Founder of Molcan Corporation and Molcan Biopharma

Dr. He is founder of Molcan Corporation and Molcan Biopharma. He received his MSc (1985) in pharmacy from Sichuan University (formerly "West China University of Medical Sciences"), PhD (1990) in bio-organic chemistry from University of New Brunswick, worked as postdoctoral fellow in pharmaceutical chemistry at University of Toronto.

He has held various positions within the pharmaceutical industry and government including deputy director at NICPBP, the Ministry of Health (China), R&D manager at Apotex (the largest pharma company in Canada), board director at BT Pharma (a major joint venture between Apotex and Chinese partner), Carry Biotech & Hengda Pharma, etc. He is advisor of public-listed pharmaceutical companies and government including the City of Chengdu, China, and has been often invited by Chinese government including the Minstry of Overseas Chinese Affairs and the Ministry of Science & Technology of China for high profile meetings and consultations.

As a senior scientist specialized in drug design and discovery, chemical synthesis and bio-fermentation, spectral analysis and structure determination etc., Dr. He served “American Journal of Natural Products” as scientific reviewer. In 2007, he won “Innovation Award” (“科技创新人才奖”) from “Overseas Chinese Federation” (“中国侨联”) as presented by president Hu Jingtao.
